Stem Cell Update

Kayla came out of her procedure and is doing great! She was having neck pain and double lumen site itching at first. They gave her some Adavan for anxiety and since then is really relaxed. She said I have two heads that are smiling! Yep, she is doing good. There is a nurse next to her bed the entire time. Her numbers are looking good so we are hopefully optimistic that we will have enough cells collected to remove the femoral line and all go back to target house tonight! Thank you for the prayers!!!

  5. Wish there was a "like" button on this blog! Sending happy stem cell thoughts! Did a donation to St. Judes today at the Loft! It is an annual tradition I do anyway when I shop at stores with the green magnifying glass but now I have even more reason to do it! When I told them why I was doing it (hoping to spread the giving bug to other shoppers) they already knew about Kayla! There are so many people on her team here! I am sure you know that but it can't help to be reminded to help keep you strong :-)

  6. Thinking of you guys every day with love in my heart! Thank you for sharing all the hope, inspiration and wisdom of this incredibly challenging experience. Kayla is so strong and courageous--just like her parents! I love you guys so much and can't wait to see you again, share some healing meals together as soon as we can. I will stay tuned in the meantime! XOXO Lauray

  7. Kayla will learn to love the lumen, especially since its part of her for now. It makes things so much easier! You'll have nice quiet moments when the time comes for you to start flushing them for her. Its a mellow process you guys get to do together a couple of times a day where you can just be.
    Stay strong,
